BLACKBURN'S HEADHUNTERS

Second edition. Publisher's original green cloth boards and gilt titles to the spine, with illustrated dustwrapper. A near fine copy, the binding tight and square, with a little bumping and rubbing to the spine ends and corners. The contents, with a little spotting to the top edge, are otherwise clean throughout and free from inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the lightly creased and nicked price-clipped dustwrapper, which is marked to the back panel, but otherwise free from fading, loss or tears. An attractive example, scarce in this condition.

Second edition published in July 1956, with the first edition published in June 1956. Memoir of Lieutenant Colonel Donald Blackburn, who escaped from the Japanese when Bataan fell, evading them in the Philippine jungle and eventually leading 20,000 guerilla fighters to push the Japanese from Luzon.
