First edition, first printing. Original green cloth with gilt titles to the spine and a blindstamped motif to the upper board, without dustwrapper. A near very good copy, the binding firm with a little rubbing and bumping to the extremities, the spine slightly rolled. The contents, slightly shaken and with a previous owner's bookplate on the front pastedown are otherwise clean and without inscriptions. Pages 103-114 are nicked and creased to the bottom corner (not affecting the text).

The last volume of Joseph Conrad's short stories to be published during his lifetime. Containing 'The Planter of Malata', 'The Partner', 'The Inn of the Two Witches' and 'Because of the Dollars'.
