Limited edition. Publisher's original red cloth with black and gilt monogrammatic label stamped to the upper board. Textured endpapers. A lovely example.

Sir Robert Menzies (1894-1978) was an Australian politician and lawyer who served as the 12th Prime Minister of Australia from 1939-1941 and again from 1949-1966. He remains the longest-serving prime minister in Australian history. Menzies was one of the twelve honorary pallbearers at the State Funeral of Sir Winston Churchill on 30th January 1965. Together with former US President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who both had known Churchill well, Menzies gave his eulogy after the funeral, speaking from the crypt of St. Paul's Cathedral, London. His touching tribute is published here.
