First edition, first printing. Signed by the author. Publisher's original yellow cloth with black titles to the upper board and spine. No dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with a little bumping and wear to the edges, the cloth is darkened at the spine and edges, with a few marks. The contents, a little spotted to the prelims and with an authorial ink blob to the front pastedown are otherwise clean throughout.

Inscribed by the author in black ink on the front free endpaper "To Louis / and yet another one / Bruce Graeme / and may the blot opposite / never prove itself a / true prophet!! / B.G". A stand alone crime novel from the prolific author of the 'Blackshirt' series. (Hubin).
