First collected edition. Limited edition. Hardcover. Signed by the author. Publisher's original quarter black faux leather and red cloth, with black titles and borders to the upper board and red titles to the spine. Textured endpapers. A very near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth bright and fresh, with a small mark to the extreme fore-edge of the upper board. The contents are clean throughout, and without previous owners' inscriptions or stamps. The closed text block has just a touch of spotting to the top edge and a couple of light finger marks to the fore-edge.

Issued in an edition of 150 copies, from which this example is numbered 6, and signed by the author Robert Silverberg in black ink on the limitation page. The fourth volume (of nine) in this extensive series of Silverberg's collected science fiction stories. Nominated for the 2010 Locus Award for 'Best Collection'. A compilation of 14 short works, including the 1975 Nebula and Locus Award-winning novella 'Born with the Dead', and the 1975 Hugo Award finalist 'Schwartz Between the Galaxies'.
