First edition, first printing. Original red cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in the dustwrapper illustrated by the author. A very near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth and gilt sharp, the contents clean throughout. A little softened and rubbed to spine tips. In the near fine dustwrapper, a little toned (as usual), a little rubbed with few nicks to spine tips and corners, and a small (c. 0.5 cm) closed tear to the upper edge of the rear panel. Not price clipped (21s net to the front flap). An attractive copy.
