Original brown cloth with gilt titles to the spines and gilt facsimile signatures to the upper boards, in the Jack Gaughan illustrated dustwrappers. A near fine set, the bindings square and firm, the corners and spine tips slightly rubbed, the cloth otherwise bright and fresh. Volumes I, V, VI and VII have a little faint spotting to the closed text-block edge and volume V has a previous owner's inscription on the title page, the contents are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the lightly edge-rubbed original dustwrappers which are slightly rubbed and faded at the spines.
