Limited edition. Signed by the author. Publisher's quarter faux red leather over yellow cloth, with Aubrey Beardsley's 'Virgilius the Sorceror' (1893) to the upper board, in acetate dustwrapper. With numerous full page black and white illustrations and three in colour. A better than very good copy, the binding square and firm, with a 2cm split to the upper spine hinge and light rubbing to the spine ends and corners. The contents, with a few light spots to the top edge, are otherwise clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the lightly rubbed acetate dustwrapper that remains without loss or tears.

Issued in an edition of 150 copies, from which this example is numbered 56 and signed by Wilum Pugmire and S. T. Joshi in black ink on the colophon. A collection of 44 stories, prose poems and sonnets written between 1985 and 2011, several of which, 'Some Buried Memory', 'In Memoriam: Oscar Wilde', 'The Tangled Muse', 'Uncommon Places' and 'In Remembrance: Edgar A. Poe' are published here for the first time.
