First edition. Limited edition. Quarter terracotta cloth with marbled paper covered boards and a title label printed in black to the spine. Illustrated with a tipped in colour portrait frontispiece and five tipped in plates in colour and black and white, two of which fold out. Prospectus loosely laid in (from an edition of 750 copies). Printed in Bulmer on Magnani Avorio Biblos paper and set by Stan Lane at Gloucester Typesetting. Bound by The Fine Book Bindery with marbled boards by Antonio Velez Celemin. A fine copy the binding square and firm, the contents are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps.
Issued in a standard edition of 100 unnumbered copies. There was also an edition of 100 special copies which included an original print of 'Waiting for Death' made by Iain Bain. These were signed by the author Iain Bain (with Thomas Bewick in facsimile) and housed in a chemise. All 200 copies include Bewick's silhouette portrait of Robert Pollard printed from the original wood, which was created for his autobiographical 'Memoir'.
