The 'Artist' edition, issued in an edition of 1000 copies, signed by the illustrator Ken Cunningham in blue ink on the colophon. There was also an numbered edition of 250 copies signed by Margaret Atwood, Ken Cunningham, Sophie Mackintosh and Jan Garden Castro and a further 26 signed lettered copies, housed in a clamshell box. Winner of the first Arthur C. Clarke Award, shortlisted for The Booker Prize and nominated for the 1986 Nebula Award. Atwood's futuristic feminist dystopian novel has been the basis for film and Emmy Award winning television adaptations.
