Illustrated with three colour plates by Michael Whelan. All edges gilt. A fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps.

Originally published as a series of short stories and novellas by Astounding Magazine from 1942-1950 and later in book form by Gnome Press from 1951-1953. The Foundation Trilogy won the Hugo Award for 'Best All-Time Series' in 1966.
