First UK edition, first printing. Original red cloth with gilt lettering to the spine, in the Youngman Carter designed dustwrapper. A very near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth and gilt bright, the contents clean without inscriptions or stamps. Minor pushing to lower spine tip. Complete with the bright, unfaded dustwrapper, a little rubbed to spine tips, lightly creased to the upper edge of the front panel, and with a half-centimetre closed tear to the rear outer fold. Minimal soiling to rear panel. Not price-clipped and correctly priced (12s 6d net) to the front flap. A sharp, bright copy.
