THE ARTIST IN HIS WORLD With 8 descriptive poems by Alasdair Gray

First edition, first printing. Signed by Alasdair Gray. Original black cloth with silver lettering to the spine. A fine copy. Minimal pushing to spine tips, otherwise immaculate. Complete with the fine dustwrapper, which is unclipped and correctly priced (20.00) to the front flap. A bright, sharp copy.

Signed by Alasdair Gray in black ink to the head of the title page (with some offsetting to the verso of the half-title). Gray and McCullough met at Glasgow's Eastbank Acadamy in 1952, from where they both went to the Glasgow School of Art. McCullough's prints (monochrome and colour) are interspersed with eight poems written by Gray to accompany them. (Moores D3a)
