THE ADVENTURES OF BUNNY BUFFIN

First edition, first printing. Inscribed by the author. Original yellow cloth with titles to the spine and an illustration to the upper board in navy, in dustwrapper. Illustrated throughout by the author in black and white. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth a little toned and spotted at the extremities. The contents, with light spotting to the text block edge and endpaper margins and a small numerical note to the front pastedown, are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the original dustwrapper which is toned and spotted to the spine and extremities, has a 3cm closed tear to the top edge of the front panel and a few smaller closed tears and nicks to the edges. Not price clipped (7s. 6d. to the front flap). A scarce title, especially so in signed state.

Inscribed by Alec Buckels in blue ink on the front free endpaper "To Margaret / October 1953 / from Alec". The Second 'Bunny Buffin' Book. Alec Buckels was a painter and engraver as well as a writer and illustrator of children's books.
