First edition, first printing. Original black paper-covered boards with silver titles to the spine, in the Laurence Cutting designed dustwrapper. A very near fine copy, the binding square and firm, bright and fresh. There are a handful of faint spots to the closed text-block edge and there is a small bookseller's label to the front pastedown, the contents are otherwise clean throughout and without stamps or inscriptions. Complete with the lightly rubbed, nicked and creased dustwrapper that is a touch faded to the spine. Not price-clipped (£1.10 on the front flap).
A bleak dystopia set in a society controlled by various authoritarian governments in which an artist meets and a strange, enigmatic woman.
