First trade hardcover edition. Publisher's original red faux leather with titles in gilt to the spine, in the Charles Lang illustrated dustwrapper. Illustrated with a colour plate at the front of the text preceding 12 black and white plates by Charles Lang throughout. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, with light bumping to the spine tips and extremities. The contents are clean throughout, with an ex libris bookplate pasted on the front pastedown, and without previous owners' inscriptions. Complete with the near fine original dustwrapper, which is lightly creased to the head of the spine and very lightly bumped at the extremities, and is otherwise bright and fresh.
