SIXTEEN OCCASIONAL POEMS 1990-2000

First edition, first printing. Signed by the author. Original stapled card wrappers printed in red and black, bearing an illustration by the author of a winged Cupid figure seated in a skull with, in the background, a rising (or setting) sun. Printed on grey paper, with blue endpapers. A fine copy with no marks or blemishes. Priced (5) to the rear panel.

Signed in black ink to the front free endpaper. The back cover states that these sixteen poems were "written when Gray was mainly working on his BOOK OF PREFACES and reflect some themes in that book: self-government, love, god, legends, language and some national states". The dedication is "for my wife" (Morag McAlpaine, also the publisher of the book). (Moores D4a)
