First Dobson Books edition. Publisher's original black cloth with silver titles to the spine, in the Richard Weaver illustrated dustwrapper. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, a little rubbed at the extremities. The contents are clean throughout, and without previous owners' inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the better than very good, rubbed and creased dustwrapper. Not price-clipped (25s net to the lower front flap).

The second UK edition of Hugo Award-winner Eric Frank Russell's interplanetary tale. The story was first published in 'Startling Stories' pulp magazine under the title 'The Star Watchers' and later in bookform under the present title by Bouregy and Curl, New York. The first UK edition was published by the Museum Press in 1954.
