One of the author's finest suspense novels, first published by Tor in 1994, reprinted here with the addition of his 1988 novella 'Horrorshow'. John Farris (1936-) is a prolific American writer best known for his southern Gothic novels, including 'The Fury' (1976) and 'All Heads Turn When the Hunt Goes By' (1977). Apart from his vast body of fiction, his work on motion picture screenplays includes adaptations of his own books (such as the 1978 Brian De Palma film adaptation of 'The Fury'), original scripts, and adaptations of the works of others. He wrote and directed the film 'Dear Dead Delilah' in 1973. He has had several plays produced off-Broadway, and also paints and writes poetry.
