ROY LICHTENSTEIN

First edition. Publisher's original pictorial card covers, with black titling to the cover. Perfect bound, without dustwrapper as issued. Boldly illustrated throughout in colour and black and white. Three black and white pictorial inserts loosely laid in. Printed on a combination of white and pink pages. A better than very good copy, the perfect binding remains strong, with short separation between the top of the front panel and binding, similarly on the back panel and last page. The panels are lightly toned and bumped around the edges, with some light rubbing to the bottom edge of the front panel and ghosting on the back panel. The contents, which are lightly toned around the edges, are otherwise clean and free from inscriptions or stamps.

Published to accompany the exhibition 'Roy Lichtenstein' at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, which later visited Tate Gallery London, Kunsthalle Bern and Kestner - Gesellschaft Hannover. Containing an essay by curator Wim Beeran and an interview with the artist by John Coplans.
