Limited edition. Signed by the author. Publishers original grey and metallic textured card boards with titles in orange on the upper board. Illustrated with four black and white plates by Alastair Reynolds. With a further eight colour prints loosely laid in. Housed in a metallic silver box with illustrated paper label. A very near fine copy, the binding square and firm, with a touch of rubbing to the fore-edge of the upper board. The contents are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the better than very good structurally sound box which has a few bumps and creases to the upper board and label. The folded label is peeling slightly from the left side.

Issued in a limited edition of 750 copies of which this example is numbered 26 and signed by Alastair Reynolds in black ink on the limitation page. The author's first novel, the first book set in his epic 'Revelation Space' science fiction universe and the first instalment in the 'Inhibitor Sequence'. Reynolds has a PhD in astrophysics and spent many years working for the European Space Research and Technology Centre before becoming a full-time writer; his scientific knowledge underpins the Revelation Space universe, lending it particular detail and plausibility.
