The third book set in his epic 'Revelation Space' science fiction universe, and the second instalment in the 'Inhibitor Sequence'. The author has a PhD in astrophysics and spent many years working for the European Space Research and Technology Centre before becoming a full-time writer; his scientific knowledge underpins the Revelation Space universe, lending it particular detail and plausibility.
