First edition first printing. Signed by the author. With two unnumbered, unsigned prints by Matt Johnson loosely laid in. Original illustrated boards with a red cloth spine. With full-page colour illustrations by Johnson throughout. A very near fine copy, the binding square and firm with a slight bump to the foot of the spine. The contents are clean and bright throughout and without previous owners' stamps or inscriptions.

Issued in a limited edition of 100 signed copies, this example is numbered 51 and is signed by Matt Johnson in black ink on the title page. Matt Johnson is a Cornwall-based artist and illustrator whose designs inspired by local plants and wildlife have become closely associated with the Cornish fashion brand Seasalt, for whom Johnson was Senior Creative Designer for 18 years.
