First edition, first printing. Swedish language. Original illustrated paper-covered boards with a beige cloth spine. A very good copy, the binding firm, ehe extremities are rubbed and toned with a few marks to the spine from the original binding materials. The inner hinge is cracked but holding. The top edge of the text block is slightly creased, the contents are otherwise clean throughout and without inscriptions. Scarce.

A wonderful Swedish children's book about a boy who, while out looking for blueberries for his mother, is shrunk to the size of an apple and is shown where to find berries by forest sprites. Written and illustrated by Elsa Beskow (1874-1953), one of Sweden's most beloved children's authors. 'Peter in Blueberry Land' was Breskow's commercial breakthrough and her first book to be translated into another language.
