ON THE DEATH OF LLYWELYN AP GRUFFUDD. 12th December 1282.

First edition. Quarto. Text in English and Welsh. Recent craft binding of full black morocco, with a Welsh dragon emblem in red leather and decorated in gilt to the upper board, in a red leather and black cloth traycase. With a colour frontispiece of the coat of arms of the House of Aberffraw, commonly attributed to Llywelyn ap Gruffudd. 15 tissue-guards loosely laid in throughout. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the leather bright and fresh, with some dulling to the gilt decoration of the upper board, and a little bowing to the board edges. The contents, with a couple of light spots to the fore-edge of the closed text block and the occasional bleed to the extreme fore-edge of the margins, are otherwise clean and without inscriptions or stamps. Housed in the lightly rubbed and marked, structurally sound traycase.

A collection of five historical poems about the death of Llywelyn ap Gruffudd, the last native Prince of Wales, compiled and printed by Peter Attwater.
