First separate edition, first printing. Limited edition. Signed by the author. Publisher's original dark green faux leather with silver titles to the spine, in the John Picacio illustrated dustwrapper. Textured endpapers. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, with a touch of rubbing to the tail of the spine. The contents, with a few dust spots to the top edge of the text block, are clean throughout, and without previous owners' inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the lightly creased dustwrapper, which has two small spots to the underside. Not price-clipped ($60 to the upper rear flap).

Issued in an edition of 250 copies, from which this edition is numbered 68, and signed by Dan Simmons in black ink on the limitation page. An attractive example of World Horror Grandmaster Dan Simmons' novella, which first appeared in the 2007 science fiction anthology 'The New Space Opera', edited by Gardner Dozois and Jonathan Strahan.
