First edition with these illustrations, first printing. Limited edition. Signed by the author of the introduction, foreword and afterword. Publisher's original tan cloth with titles in gilt on brown to the spine and facsimile signature of Richard Matheson in brown to the upper board, in the William Basso illustrated dustwrapper. Housed the brown and cream cloth slipcase. Illustrated throughout with a frontispiece and five further full page colour plates by William Basso. A fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the fine original dustwrapper which is free from fading, loss or tears. Housed in the fine structurally sound slipcase.

Issued in an 'Artist Edition' of 750 copies, signed by the author of the introduction R. C. Matheson, writer of the foreword Mike Flanagan, and author of the afterword Nancy A. Collins in black ink on the colophon. 'Hell House' was adapted for the 1973 film 'The Legend of Hell House' written by Richard Matheson and directed by John Hough, starring Roddy McDowall, Gayle Hunnicutt and Pamela Franklin.
