First edition, first printing. Original red cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in the James Broom-Lynne illustrated dustwrapper. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm with a touch of rubbing to the extremities, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents with mild foxing to the closed text block edge and endpapers, are otherwise clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the original dustwrapper that is toned to the panel edges and spine and is otherwise free from fading, loss or tears. Not price-clipped (£3.10 net to the front flap).

The twelfth and final volume in the author's A Dance To The Music of Time series. The first printing was issued in an edition of 13,000 copies. (Lilley A22a).
