A large collection of short stories by William Lindsay Gresham originally published in science fiction and detective pulp magazines in the 1940s and 50s, many of which have not been previously reprinted. Gresham is best known for his 1946 noir novel 'Nightmare Alley' which has been adapted for film twice, first in 1947 directed by Edmund Goulding and starring Tyrone Power, Joan Blondell, Coleen Gray and Helen Walker, and again in 2021 directed by Guillermo del Toro and starring Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Toni Colette and Rooney Mara.
