Publisher's original dark red cloth with titles in gilt to the spine, and with a facsimile of the author's signature in gilt to the upper board. Illustrated with four tipped in colour plates and four black and white illustrations by Phil Foglio, Kenneth Smith, Free, Joan Hanke-Woods, Doug Rice, and Todd Hamilton. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth and gilt bright, with a very small bump to the upper spine fold. Very light spotting to the text block. The contents are clean throughout, and without previous owners' inscriptions and stamps.

Issued in an edition of 1000 copies, from which this example is numbered 360 and signed by the author R. A.Lafferty in black ink on the limitation page.
