First UK edition, first printing. Signed by the author. Publisher's original black cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in the Gerald Grace illustrated dustwrapper. A near fine copy, the binding firm, the spine bumped at the tips and just a touch rolled. The cloth with a few light marks to the lower board, the gilt bright and fresh. The contents, with very light spotting to the top edge of the closed text block, are otherwise clean throughout, and without previous owners' inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the lightly rubbed and creased dustwrapper, that is a little faded to the spine and has a small foxing spot to the underside of the rear panel. Not price-clipped (£8.95 net to the lower front flap).

Inscribed by the author in black ink on the front endpaper "For Kay - / Watch out for dark / streets and '58 Plymouths... / Stephen King / 5.11.83". The classic King horror story of a murderous and possessed 1958 Plymouth Fury. Nominated for the 1984 Locus Award for 'Best Fantasy Novel'. The John Carpenter directed film adaptation, now a cult classic, was released in December 1983 starring Keith Gordon, John Stockwell, Alexandra Paul, Robert Prosky and Harry Dean Stanton.
