ACADEMIC GRAFFITI

First edition, first printing. Publisher's original red cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in the original dustwrapper. Illustrated throughout with full page line drawings by Filippo Sanjust. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth and gilt bright and fresh. The contents, with some faint offsetting to the front and rear pastedowns, are otherwise clean throughout without stamps or inscriptions. Complete with the near fine dustwrapper, which is lightly toned to the spine and edges but is otherwise without fading, loss or tears. Not price-clipped (£2.00 net to the front flap).

A series of witty clerihews (the four-line verse form invented by Edmund Clerihew Bentley), each concerned with a different writer, philosopher, artist, or composer, and each accompanied by its own illustration.
