First UK edition, first printing. Publisher's original red and black cloth boards with gilt titles to the red cloth spine, in the Kenneth Farnhill illustrated dustwrapper. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, with just a hint of rubbing and fading to the spine tips and extreme top edge. The contents, with a little spotting to the fore-edge of the closed text block, are otherwise clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the lightly rubbed and nicked dustwrapper, which has three short closed tears with associated creasing to the bottom edge, which have been secured with tape to the underside. Not price-clipped (15s net to the lower front flap).
