A KIND OF LOVING

First edition, first printing. Publisher's original black cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in the Adrian Bailey illustrated dustwrapper. A very good copy indeed, the binding firm with a very slight lean to the spine, the contents lightly spotted and dusty to the text block edges are otherwise clean throughout and without previous owner's inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the lightly rubbed and nicked dustwrapper that is lightly toned to the spine and flap folds. Not price-clipped (16s net to the front flap).

Barstow's first, and most celebrated, novel. It was adapted, in 1962, into the film directed by John Schlesinger, starring Alan Bates and June Ritchie.
