Issued in an edition of 200 copies, from which this example is numbered 191, and signed by Joe Hill and Vincent Chong in black ink on the limitation page. This volume marks the 10th Anniversary Edition of the collection of horror short stories that launched Hill's career, originally published by PS Publishing in 2005. For his work, Hill won the Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in Fiction. With an introduction by fellow horror author Ramsey Campbell, this collection comprises: 'Best New Horror', '20th Century Ghost', 'Pop Art', 'You Will Hear the Locust Sing', 'Abraham's Boys', 'Better Than Home', 'The Black Phone', 'The Black Phone (The Missing Chapter)', 'In the Rundown', 'The Cape', 'Last Breath', 'Dead-Wood', 'The Widow's Breakfast', 'My Father's Mask', 'Voluntary Commital', and 'The Saved'. The collection was re-published in December 2021 under the title 'The Black Phone', as a lead-in for the motion picture release in June 2022. The film was directed by Scott Derrickson and starred Mason Thames and Ethan Hawke. A sequel, titled 'Black Phone 2', was released in October 2025.
