Publisher's original quarter grey buckram over textured paper covered boards, titles in gilt to the spine and printed in black on a white paper label to the upper board. Deckled edges. Illustrated with 22 wood engravings throughout by George Buday. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth with a little darkening and mildly bumped at the spine tips. The contents are clean throughout and without previous owners' marks.

Issued in a limited edition of 250 copies, this example is numbered 68 and signed by the translator Lewis Gielgud and artist George Bunday in black ink on the limitation page. An attractive English translation of the Pervigilium Veneris.
