Publisher's original quarter black cloth with Aeron Alfrey illustrated silk upper board and grey cloth lower board, with titles in silver to the spine. Blue silk bookmark. Illustrated endpapers, a colour frontispiece after Francisco de Paula José Goya y Lucientes, and eight full page black and white illustrations by Aeron Alfrey. A fine copy, the binding square and firm, bright and fresh. The contents are clean throughout, and without previous owners' inscriptions and stamps.

Issued in an edition of 100 copies, from which this example is numbered 61 and signed by Bari Wood and T. M. Wright in black ink on the colophon. 'The Tribe' is Bari Wood's third novel, it was first published in 1981 by New American Library.
