First edition, first printing. Three volumes. Each volume bound in the publisher's original blue cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in the Val Biro designed and illustrated dustwrapper. Top edge blue. All are very near fine copies, the binding square and firm, the cloth and gilt bright and fresh. The contents, the one foxing spot to the endpaper of volume two are otherwise clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the uniformly very good, rubbed, and nicked dustwrappers, the first volume with a small piece of tape at the top and bottom of the front flap fold, the second volume with a small piece of tape to the lower spine tipall three with a touch of faded to the spine.
