Early printing with these illustrations. Publisher's original cream boards with a cloth green spine lettered in gilt, with gilt titles and a motif to the upper board. Illustrated in colour by James D. Linton. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, with wear to the extremities and spotting and marking to the boards. There is a bookplate to the front pastedown, spotting to the closed text-block edge, spotting early and late and to some margins, the contents are otherwise clean. All 36 tissue guarded colour plates are present and in fine condition.
