First edition of Edwin Drood, early printing of the first collected edition of The Christmas Books. Handsome nineteenth century half blue morocco over marbled boards. Five raised bands, gilt ruled and decorated compartments and titles to the spine. Marbled endpapers. All edges marbled. The Mystery of Edwin Drood with portrait frontispiece, engraved title page and 12 illustrations by S. L. Fildes. 190pp.; The Christmas Books with illustrations by Landseer, Maclise, Stanfield, F.
