First edition, first printing. Publisher's original quarter burgundy cloth and grey textured paper boards, with silver titles to the spine and author's initials 'S.R' stamped in silver to the upper board, in the Bill Botten illustrated dustwrapper. Deckled fore-edge. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, lightly rubbed at the extremities, with a small bump to the extreme bottom edge of the lower board, and just a little fading to the extreme top edge and tail of the spine. The contents are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. The closed text block is a little spotted to the top edge. Complete with the better than very good, lightly rubbed and creased dustwrapper, which is unevenly faded to the blue portion of the panel edges and spine but otherwise clean and bright. Not price-clipped (£6.95 net to the front flap).
