DAN YEO, Or the Island of the Lost.

First edition. Publisher's original green cloth with black titles to the upper board and spine, in the Abbey illustrated dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding firm but rubbed and bumped to the extremities. The cloth and lettering to the spine are somewhat faded and slightly stained, with the corners of the upper and lower boards a touch frayed. The contents, with some offsetting to the front and rear endpapers, and small blue ink initials to the front endpaper, are otherwise clean throughout. Four page publisher's catalogue to the rear. Complete with the supplied first edition dustwrapper, which is a little rubbed and nicked at the extremities without loss. With the publisher's printed price of 7/6 net to the spine, covered with a later 2/6 paper label which is scuffed to one side. Scarce in first edition, especially in dustwrapper.

A lost race adventure story; descendants in Elizabethan sailors on an island in the Pacific. Ottwell Binns was a prolific British author and Unitarian minister who also wrote under the pseudonym Ben Bolt. (Bleiler; Locke; A Spectrum of Fantasy).
