Publisher's quarter black and red faux leather with titles in silver to the spine, in the J. K. Potter illustrated dustwrapper. With a photographic portrait frontispiece and 13 black and white plates by J. K. Potter. A fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents are clean throughout, and without previous owners' inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the better than very good lightly rubbed pictorial dustwrapper, which is otherwise bright and fresh.

Issued in a limited edition of 300 copies from which this example is numbered 242, and signed by the author Ramsey Campbell, the illustrator J. K. Potter and the author of the introduction Poppy Z. Brite in black and blue ink on the colophon. 'The Face That Must Die' was first published in 1979 by Star Books, an imprint of Wyndham Publications, London.
