HISTORY OF THE 16TH / 5TH THE QUEEN'S ROYAL LANCERS 1925 to 1961

First edition. Publisher's original red cloth with divisional insignia in gilt to the upper board and titles in gilt to the spine. Without dustwrapper. Quarto. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece portrait, 14 photographs in black and white (over 10 pages) and 9 maps. Includes honour roll and full roll of officers. A very good copy indeed, the binding firm with just a little rubbing to the extremities, the cloth and gilt bright and fresh. The contents are entirely complete, clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps.

The Royal Lancers served largely in Africa during the British campaign against Rommel's Afrikakorps, later moving to Italy and the liberation of Monte Cassino.
