Elegant mid 20th century half red morocco by Riviere and Son, the upper and lower boards ruled in gilt, five raised bands with titles in gilt and gilt ruled compartments to the spine. Top edge gilt. Marbled endpapers. Tissue-guarded portrait frontispiece in the first volume. A near fine set, the bindings are square and firm with just a hint of uniform fading to the spines. The contents, with mild offsetting to the endpapers, some toning and spotting to the text block edge, and spotting to the lower edge of the frontispiece, are otherwise clean throughout, and without previous owners' inscriptions or stamps.
