Early collected edition. Contemporary full calf, the spine ruled in gilt and with black morocco title label lettered in gilt. Marbled endpapers. Engraved portrait frontispiece with tissue-guard. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with some scuffing to the boards, wear to the corners and rubbing to the extremities. The contents, with two pages slightly loose and standing a little proud, a contemporary ownership inscription in ink to the front endpaper, some occasional old pencil annotations (including, amusingly, the word 'pretty' added above Shelley's portrait on the frontispiece) and some light scattered foxing are otherwise in very good order.
An attractive early American collected edition of the works of the Romantic poets Coleridge, Shelley and Keats, based upon the Galignani edition published in Paris in 1829, which formed the first collected edition of Keats' work.
