The Cricket on the Hearth with 22 illustrations by L. Rossi. An attractive very good or better set, the bindings square and firm, with minor rubbing and bumping to the spine tips, the cloth with just a little fading to the spines of A Christmas Carol and The Battle of Life and a touch of toning to the spine of The Haunted Man. The contents, with a short closed tear to the bottom edge of page 77 of The Chimes, and a couple of small tears to the margins of The Haunted Man (none affecting the text or illustrations), are mildly spotted to the title pages and advertisements and are otherwise clean, and free from inscriptions or stamps. The closed text block edges are spotted. All illustrations are present as called for and in near fine condition. An attractive set.
