A fine copy, the binding square and tight, the contents clean throughout. Scarce.

Identical in every respect to the limited edition of 120 copies, with the exception that this one, the binder's retained copy, is not numbered. There were also 5 copies bound with a glass inlay by Susan Alix. A beautifully produced collection of eleven essays and one poem by Mark Cazalet (artist), Emma Crichton-Miller (art historian and critic), Christopher Gibbs (art dealer), John Julius Norwich (writer), William Packer (art critic), ChloŽ Reddaway (theologian and art historian), Jane Ridley (historian), Chris de Souza (musician), Pamela Tudor-Craig (art historian), Roger Wagner (artist), Rowan Williams (theologian), Ann Wroe (historian). With a foreword by the Very Reverend Michael Tavinor, Dean of Hereford, and the introduction by Patrick Reyntiens. The first book to be published on the stained-glass art of Thomas Denny, which has since been issued and reprinted in a trade edition.
