A superb catalogue of an exceptional collection, now housed in the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon. "A magnificent achievement and a record of exceptional coins beyond compare. Mr Gulbenkian collected only coins in perfect mint condition with a concentration on their artistic merit and (as one of the richest men in the world at that time) was able to purchase many of the best pieces from the auctions of the 1930's and 40's as well as significant private purchases from the Vlasto and Jameson collections" - Dennis J. Kroh.
