First edition, first printing. Contemporary plain paper covered boards with titles in manuscript to the spine. Page edges uncut. Illustrated with a folding engraved frontispiece and numerous tables throughout (one folding). A very good copy, the binding square and firm with rubbing to the outer hinges and corners. The contents with a contemporary bookseller's label (Quarré-Reybourbon, Lille) to the front pastedown, a little cracking to the paper covering the inner hinges at front and back, and occasional minor toning, are otherwise in good order and clean throughout. A very nice example.
A scarce early nineteenth-century French work on the conversion of weights, measures and currencies.
